GFCI - Ground Fault Circuit Interuptors

Have you ever wondered about those electrical outlets that typically have little black and red buttons in the middle of them? They are ground fault circuit interuptors. Most older homes unless they have been updated do not have them. Current code requires these to be installed near where there is water near the outlet.
